The Recaro Polaric Rear Facing Group 1 Car seat has arrived. Rear facing is the safest way to travel - as an adult and most definitely as a young child. In Scandinavia although not a legal requirement, it is strongly recommended for all children up to the age of 4 to travel rear facing in cars. If you are unlucky enough to have an accident on most occasions it's a frontal impact so if you are in a rear facing car seat you are much safer.
Because your child rear faces there is a much reduced risk of spine and neck injury in an impact situation. The integral harness belts have covers for optimal comfort and fit, and are fully height adjustable. For the rest position, only the seat's surface and back need to move and the ergonomic foam, padding and comfortable covers ensure each journey is comfortable as well as safe.

The unique Recaro Polaric fixing system enables firm and safe installation on the back seat of a vehicle. It uses isofix points, a foot prop, back brace and a bottom tether.
You must have Isofix points in your car in order to use this seat. It cannot be fitted using car seat belts.
Please note: We strongly advise that you get the fit checked before purchasing as the Polaric is a big car seat. Fitting requires a minium of 70 cm from isofix point to back of the passenger / driver seat. This may affect your driving position or that of your front passenger. Not fitting is not a fault and a return carriage charge will be applicable.
