The Safety 1st Digital Monitor allows you to have peace of mind all through the night! The monitor works on 100% digital technology and has 18 channels to help you find the best transmission between the baby and parent unit. It has a range of up to 200 meters in an obstacle free environment.
The monitor consists of 2 units:
Parent Unit - The parent unit has various different easy to use features. You can choose 1 of the 18 channels with your parent unit by using the channel switch which is located on the front of the unit. There is also a light display on the front of the parent unit so you can turn down the sound of the unit but still be alerted if your baby cries as the lights will flash up. There is an option on the parent unit to set a timer which will alert you when it is time for babys next feed. It also has an out of range symbol on the display and a battery running low symbol. The parent unit has easy to use volume control buttons located on the front of the monitor.
Baby Unit - The baby unit has the following easy to use features; you have the channel selector which you set to the same as what you have on the parent unit. There is also the volume control buttons on the front of the baby unit and you receive the same display as the parent unit. On the baby unit located in the battery compartment at the back there is a switch which allows you to choose whether you want the night light on, on only when it becomes dark or on when it becomes dark and when the baby cries. This monitor allows you to work it in two different ways, either with the two adaptors that come with it or the rechargeable battery packs that also come with it.
If you wish to use the rechargeable batteries you must charge them up for 12 hours before their first use. You can achieve this by putting them in both units whilst the monitor is being powered by the mains adaptors.
